Identify this part for me......

Can someone tell me what the heck this part does? It is a two prong sensor that screws into the bottom of the radiator on the drivers side. Mine has one of the leads broken off...... what does this sensor do, and how would it affect anything broken?

I can't find any reference to it in the shop manual.

Thanks,

Matt

Its a temp sensor.

As far as its funtion I could be mistaken, but i beleve it has to do with the injector duty cycles.

It is the cold start temp sensor. This is for warming up the precat. It makes your car rev to 3000rpm's when started cold. Not good for the engine. It serves no other purpose. Leave it unhooked.

This is the sensor for the AWS (accelerated wear-out system)

Be glad your isn't plugged in.
