$17K australian = $13K U.S. Not as bad as I thought. 89 turbos go for about $6-$7K U.S. around here, but those aren't nearly as nice as yours. I don't have that kind of money, but I'd say you got a good deal.

bit on the expensive side but it's pretty nice from what I can tell, though come to think of it if you know what you're doing you could probably build the same car up for a little less, but that'd still take a bit of time.

sounds like a gt-x.. i could be wrong.. its hard to tell since its modded.. all the fc's were offered in redze red.. so yeah.. if its an oem color.. looks like it

all fc's in 89..

-were turboed
-4 seats with fall down rear seats
-front fog lamps
-a rear wiper
-centralized door locks
-power windows
-am/fm radio with cassette player

the gt-r had...

nothing really

the gt-r was the bare of all fc's
it didnt have anything the other fc's did

the gt-x had..
-rear spoiler
-lsd
-15" alloy wheels
-leather steering wheel

the sport drivers fc

the gt limited had..
-single sunroof
-abs
-cruise control
-leather steering wheel
-full auto a/c
-15" alloys

the semi luxury fc

the gt limited special edition had..
-sunroof
-abs
-15" alloys
-full auto a/c
-leather steering wheel
-cruise control
-leather seats
-cd player (oh snaps)

the luxurious fc.. sorta

hope that helped. =] like i said.. its hard to tell since it's modded.. if it doesnt have a sunroof.. its either a gt-r or a gt-x.. if it does.. its either the gt limited or gt limited special edition.. thats a big one since its quite hard to put one in.. haha.. anywho... like i said.. it hard to tell since you can just add on this.. mod that.. so it really wouldnt matter.. and its not like there much different.. even if there were.. im pretty sure its modified

that plate is to help keep air going through radiator instead of going around it. at higher speeds there is so much air coming at the radiator that some of it cant flow through the radiator and goes around the radiator instead.

Yes, I'm fully aware of that. That's called a radiator panel... My question is about the ID plate on the radiator panel, you know that blue plate in the corner... What is it? Looks kinda like a Manufacturer ID plate, but for what?

Thats a mod plate for the seats guys, gotta have one here in aus its a bit of a pain, if you dont have one the cops will smash you they hate young guys with nice cars, too make matters worse some idiot killed himself in a wrx in town the other night so the cops are going to pull out the random roadworthys again, i hate that.

LOL you cant really call the bits of foam in the back of these things rear seats. You would have to be a midget with no legs and you may fit. Speaking of seats im missing the lower clip things for the back seatbelts (nice technical term there) are they pretty much generic with mazdas from the same era?
