Idemitsu Racing Oil
I just bought the Idemitsu Racing Oil and Premix from Mazdatrix. Someone told me, and I quote:
"you cant/should not put synthetic oil in your crank case
only in a new motor without cats and no omp"
I have removed my OMP rod, so it should not be pumping any more oil, right? Or should I replace the bolts with solid ones? I also have no cats. I, on the other hand, do not have a new motor.
Will I be ok or did I just waste 100 bucks on oil?

Meh not to bad. I put royal purple in my base 86 n/a that wasnt in the greatest shape with 280k km's. Now all I put in my 87 t2 with 138k km's is redline. On the back of the redline bottle it said superior turbocharger support. That had me sold. Haha joke, or was it?

And yes, you did waste 100 bucks on oil that is not necessary for a street car and will not make any significant difference in performance or engine wear. On the good side, I am sure the Idemitsu Kosan CEOs are having a good time spending your money on their lavish lifestyles, so you should at least feel good about that.
So you replace the oil drain plug gasket every time you change the oil? And you use distilled water in the radiator? And you never re-use the fuel injector o-rings or rear axle lock nuts?

Man, I would love to come on this site ONE TIME, look at a thread, and not see someone trying to be a ******* smart ***. I understand that I will not make "noticable" power gains; I dont give a damn, I never asked anything about power. Engine wear, if it's even a little better for engine wear it's worth it to me.
Any no I dont do all that other bullshit you were stating, but I was gonna use distilled water in the radiator. Who gives a ****? It's a dollar a gallon.
I'm sorry man, but it just gets me real frustrated that every thread I look at someone has to talk down on them like they are retarded.

Contrary to your egocentric belief, the experienced mechanics, college grads, and industry experts on this forum are not obligated to spend their time responding to noob questions. If you think that they treat you like you are retarded, then there may be good reason for that.
You have managed to make my short ignore list, so I will never again respond to any of your questions because it apparently offends you and it most certainly wastes my valuable time.

i'm running idemitsu racing oil 10W30 in my fairly stock 88 gxl, it runs very smooth at high rpm for a long period of time.
i bought a whole case of 12 from mazdatrix and it works out cheaper than Royal Purple which was the alternative locally.
whether this stuff actually works or not (I won't be hitting the track until summer), you can never go wrong with buying quality oil for a rotary engine, last thing you want is cheaping out on your oil and leaving nasty deposits in your engine leading to destruction =)

Its fine a good upgrade I consider spending 8$ a qrt on oil just what it costs these days. You can use it with the OMP and with cats just fine. Only suggestion is make sure you use a group IV or V synthetic.

Theres absolutly nothing wrong with synthetic oil in a rotary motor, infact, I assume its better for it anyway, seeing how rotarys get realy hot, they need the extra lub.
I got the idemitsu 20w50...runs like a charm.
And you would think that zmax crap would eat your motor up lol.
