idels then dies.
can vaccum leaks cause the motor to idel for 5 seconds then die?
i dont know specific rpm it was at but it seemed normal and was consistant .
btw was my first two starts on my rebuild yay it worked lol

then the starter quit and wont take a few hits any more

theres no emmisions etc i only have all sensors etc that run to the ecu
is there anything else that could cause the same symptons.
heres my thread for further info on my truck

If your MAF isn't plugged in or is defective, it will cut power to the fuel pump after starting. This will cause it to start, idle for a few seconds and die. Try watching the pump voltage after you release the key from the 'start' position. Awesome project BTW!

been a long time but i found possible vaccum leaks but it continued.
so i messed with the tps and varible resistor and incresed the ildel screw bingo it idels but it was rough.
i continued to mess with the tps and got some results im yet to set the tps to factory from fsm..
the rough idel seems to cut out to 1 rotor then two kick in .takes a little playing to get it to rev but when it does it sounds really strong.
btw RXSpeed16 thanks been a long time in the running lol.
so the only thing else i have to work on is stiffining the maf so it dosnt vibrate to much which might be causing the 1rotor problem.
cheers
