Ideas for cold air intake with a turbo 2 hood but no turbo :(

A free T2 hood, ah hem...and WHY wasn't I informed of this! lol...just use some lightweight aluminum and have an exhaust shop/machine shop bend it for you. Then just use thin aluminum to make the box. As for the design of the whole thing, I can't help ya there...I still have the NA hood!

Construct a duct made of 1/16 or 1/8th inch aluminum, and then rivet it together. Then, but some of that foam tape stuff and seal it all off from the inside, and that should be it! Don't know how you're going to suspend that stuff above the other engine components, but that's what I'd try.

We made one for a friends 96Z28. We opend the holes at the ack of the hood then secured some custom bent aluminum underhood scoops and 2.5" PVC pipes to the hood and built a custom airbox up front to connect to the intake via a 3" pipe. Shutting the hood can be kinda tricky so slamming the hood is out. But it wasnt hard to do and it was actually fun to make.

It might not be worth the trouble though, as thier isnt much air flow on that part of the hood anyways-
