its a full out standalone engine management system. controls the injectors, timing, etc. it basically replaces the stock ECU.

Um, you will notice a huge gain in power with a haltech EMS and someone who knows how to tune it on any N/A motor.

save your money for something else. get a haltech when you are going for 400hp+

then haltech is around $1200 and you'll spend another 1000 seting it up

basically. It's an N/A. you're probably not going to go much over 160 hp to the wheels. Just save that 2 grand you would have spent on the Haltech and use it to buy a Turbo II

The standalone is going to get you the last 20hp that should break the 200hp to the wheels barrier with an NA.&nbsp Grassroots Motorsports did an article on a stand-alone on a 1st gen, and it clocked 1/4-miles times just as fast as a stock FD - a 13.5 @ 10xMPH.&nbsp That's fricken fast for an NA...

True, a turbo will give you more power potential, but the standalone is the last step for the ultimate NA.

It's not a waste if you're willing to spend the money for it.&nbsp The stock AFM is restrictive - this gets it out of the way.

You might want to check out Microtech for a cheaper option.

Check the ECU sections in here...

In the interests of full disclosure, I've hired Ted for %0.05 net for all his Microtech sales. Oh, and I give him peanuts when he does a trick correctly.
