i want higher voltage with ALTs

for some reason my car will not make over 13.1-7 volts i have bought a new stock alternator. i have put on an fd alternator. thats three alternators same game... what can i do to improve it? i have added another line from the b post to the battery. i have added two grounds one from the bat the the frame and one from the block to the body. any ideas?

Why do you need so much volts?
If you want volts get a better bigger battery?

Are you sure you are reading the voltage correctly... Voltage should be 14.4 volts, but if you are reading a difference than that (like from a AFC), it may be the meter or device.

Check with a digital multi meter while the car is running. That should give you your real voltage

yes i was using my AFC. i will check it while at idle thanks mark ill get back to you i checked it before that way but ill do it again

wanna sell one of your alts?

edit:
you can get a custom alt to have a high output. excessiveamperage.com you can get like 15volt 300amp alt i believe, its like $300+ for them.
