Question I wake up and my car wont start---HELP!!!

I parked my car lastnight and everything was fine.
i go to start it just now and all its doing is cranking.
i cant figured out why its not firing up.
its not flooded, because you can tell when its flooded most of the time by the sound of the crank and the smell of gas. im getting neither.

i noticed that when i start the car on a normal day, and im cranking before it fires, the tach bounces very little from the cranking, right now the tach isent moving when im cranking. maybe its nothing.

can anyone figure out whats going on?

Have you tried deflooding it? Don't guess that it's NOT flooded because it sounds diff.. and maybe your nose isn't up to par today

Are you getting spark ? I believe the tach runs off the trailing coil... Check your fuses... and check to make sure your MAF sensor is plugged in securely

NEVER a bad idea to do a compression check

how many miles on the engine ?

(all just suggestions from my own experience)

i checked the fuses under the hood on the right side.
those are all good.
any other fuses i shoukld check out?

i have had the TID come loss and it started when it happend, but then it would stall.
in this case im not getting anything, just cranking.

hey, maybe im not getting any spark.

what do u think?

thanks, mike

I am having the same problem with my t2. the car killed and then wouldn't start. so i thought it was just flooded. so i let it sit almost all day and it still wouldn't start. so i changed the plugs and had no luck. then i relized i was getting no spark, and no power at all to the ecu. every thing else works (radio, fan, etc.). and the fuses are all ok. i am thinking it is some kind of relay or something. does anyone know or have any ideas? thanks!

i justy got it started. i tested the spark by testing each plug port(and shocking the **** of out my self. and they were fine.
i pulled the fuel rail tubing and the pressure was fine...
checked the fuses...fine..
checked the air flow meter plug, fine...
i get back in my car, crank it..and then it flooded.
so i un flooded it and i started her right up.
i had some smoke, but i guess thats just from not being started in a week or so.
im going to chance the plugs and start using my fuel cut switch when i park, so it doesnt flood.

oh wekk, im happy! =)
