i was told i have a Sport model...help

ok, i bought the car (86 FC) from someone that didnt know anything about it. and i myself dont know a whole ton about it either. i was buying some parts for it last night and he came out and looked at the car and immediately asked me if i wanted to sell it. i said no but why the sudden interest(hes seen it a couple times). he said it was a sport model. it has been repainted and the previous owner said he had the "ugly" stock wing removed and had the holes filled. he traded whatever stock wheels were on it for the bullet holes that are on it. he reached underneath the car and said theres a little air diverter under there that only the sport models came with. ive tried doing research but i cant come up with anything. heres the information i do have on the vehicle.

1986 Mazda RX7(vin plate on the door frame says 10/85 for the year made)
VIN-JM1FC3310G0109141
5 speed
non turbo
factory wiperless hatch
factory aluminum hood(since then been swapped for a turbo ii hood)
factory no power steering
front brake vents from front bumper
manual windows
manual mirrors
its got the factory mirrors but the look a lil different then the base mirrors and theyre not the aero mirrors
4 lug
factory front and rear sway bars
**this was the big one he said** the carpet in the rear dowst have cutouts for rear cargo bins. and theyre kinda ghetto made in there. the previous owner said that he made doors and hinges and found an fc in the junkyard that had the fiberglass bin housing. but under the doors there is no actual bin. its just bare metal, no carpet, no plastic bins, and like i said, the doors you can tell are hand made cause he had an 86 base there and it actually had cutouts in the carpet for doors

If it were a Sport it would have the adjustable suspension feature which is activated by a center console switch. And the wheels would be 5 lugs.

4-lug wheels indicates a base model. They also did a lot of dealer installation for certain options, Sport package, sunroof's, that without a window sticker it is impossible to tell.

And these cars are so old and gone through multiple owners that it's almost impossible to tell what came with the car originally. Thus making the original trim level kind of pointless.

the center console is actually broken, but there are 2 random female electrical plugs there.

1. every Rx7 was made in hiroshima. mazda has a second plant in hofu, but no Rx7's were ever built there.

2. sport models are 5 lug.

3. the adjustable suspension is ONLY found on the GXL model.

4. the base models have no rear bins, ego, yours is a base model.

5. every FC has front and rear swaybars, its not a honda.

...and yes the '86 base model is the most desirable model to many because it has no sunroof and lighter non **** carpet.

All the better parts from any of the other models can be added to it, but it is really hard to remove a sunroof from a higher model.

some interesting things about the base vs sport, the sport never comes with power windows but it has all the wiring in the doors for them! where as a real base model does not!

^ This

Even if it were an unmolested Sport, it wouldn't be worth more than any other non-turbo FC RX-7 in the same condition. If somebody is stupid enough to pay you a lot of money for it under the incredibly ignorant misconception that it is worth it, then sell it to the idiot and buy a better car.
