Unhappy I Think Something Might Blow Up Soon!!

OK i just recently blew a rad hose because either of a thermostat or shitty hose. replaced them, and i also flushed the coolent right?, right. after everything was done it was running great but now i hear maybe like a bubling noise every 10 secs down in the engine bay or something? its not overheating or anything but i think something might be goin on but im not sure.....also im not sure if i got the thermostat lined up wuite right because when i squezz the rad hose i hear like a swooshing noise.....

you think this could be air in the coolent system? and now the car feels slugish but i dont know if that is at all related.

any help is fine thanks!
steven

Most likely air in the system. You can either bleed it yourself or let it burp itself out. Just make sure you have enough (but not too much) coolant in your overflow tank

also i do get an add coolent sign sometimes but notice that there is no coolent leak ANYWARE, so i suspect that there may be air? but i burped it all the way, and theres is not thing left to be burped ...at least i think so

also i uncapped the top filler and releaved pressure and the the hose collapesed a bit. squeezed it and felt a swoosh as if to be moving water

it means that your coolant system is pressurizing.. I just had to rebuild my engine because of this. One thing to check first, though, is under the throttlebody is a coolant hose that runs up from the engine block to the throttlebody. that is likely cracked or leaking slightly. It's possible that a crack in ahose is letting in air, and that can be leading to pressuriziation of the coolant system.

Good luck

what are some sure signs of coolent seal failure. and what happens when the thermostat isnt aligned properly(coolent is able to move freely(i know that it will take longer to warm up)?)

Well if you coolant seals are blown you will be taking coolant into the combustion chamber and burning it off. It might start out small but it will only get worse. You can try the geyser test to see if your coolant seals are blown. Let the car completely cool down and then start the car with the rad cap off and see if you have bubbles coming out or if it just shoots out.

ok but before i do that first....are there any SURE signs that the engine is overheating? because my water temp gauge only works up to about norm then stops....i have never seen it go past a certain point...now im sure that is good if its working but im sure there is some chang when ever it is working. but if it isnt i want to know of anything that might go wrong so i can tell to stop the car
