ok i was looking in the haynes manual and noticed that i have this wire coming out from the block. Its right to the side, little below the oil filter(if you were looking at the car from the drivers side fender). WTH is this, my coolant temp sensor? Im in the middle of replacing my entire harness right now(dont ask long shity story lol) but im just wondering because this could end up being bad later on. If anyone has any pics that would be great

Its kinda right, (if you're looking down at the block) of the rear spark plugs.

yes, there's a wire that plugs into a coolant temp sensor on teh driver side of the engine a little below the oil filter and right next to the oil pressure sender. The only thing that does is give a reading to your coolant temp gauge in your gauge cluster. So without it, you will not see the coolant temps on your gauge. That's all it does.

it's a single Yellow wire leading to the passengerside kick panel. Emissions Is Irrelevant to this sensor. You are thinking of the Water Temperture sensor found at the back of the Water Pump, this Is an emission related part.

quick thread hijack, the sensor on the back of the waterpump housing, one is that green rectangle plug, what is the other one bout 2"s to the right, it's an octagon, bout 1" dia and theres two seperate wires coming out of it that go into one plug that looks like the TPS plug. It's also on the waterpump housing. Its and s4 jdm engine.
