i think i have afm problems

well this happened recently, my car was running just fine till a couple of days, as normally when i use my car i start it up and let it warm for maybe 2 minutes and go, well the other day when i was warming my car i rev it up a bit and it was fine but when it warm up good i rev it up again and it starts to bug and the rpms drop but they go up again, i said to myself its maybe nothing so i take it out to the street, i was on a red light and when it turn green i accelerate and let clutch out slowly and it starts to bug on me again, sometimes when i even shift to other gear it does the same, but as i said if the car is cold its fine but when it warms there's the problem, when i got home i try to check if all the vaccum lines where in theire place and they were, i then thought it could be the afm. the last time i started the car with the vaccum lines of the tid disconnectet it started like crap but this time they were connected so like the car was still on i disconnect the 2 vacccum lines to see how the car react, strange to me the car didn't even hesitate when i took the vaccum lines out, i also disconnect the afm to see what happended and the car didn't do anything also, i was susrprised because in past times when i let the afm disconnected the car iddles like crap and this time it didn't do anything. is my afm bad and needs to be replaced????? or is it another type of problem???
car is a S5 TII

thanks

I would guess coolant temperature sensor if I had to guess

(I really doubt that it is the AFM.)
