This ladies and gentlemen, is what happens when you try to cheap out on exhaust:

Pacesetter? NEVER AGAIN
We had to reweld the header and y-pipe about 8 times because for some reason when we mocked it up, everything fit fine. But when we welded it together everything was off and didnt fit. It was as if while welding the metal would warp a little causing the exhaust to not line up.
Ah well, at least there are no exhaust leaks.

This is exactly what happend. When you weld, you are always going to get some shrinkage in that area, so as you where welding, it pulled your tubing farther and farther away. You have to use really small, well controled welds to keep shrinkage to a min.

By the way the header is pacesetter, presilencer from racing beat, and RP catback. The header and y-pipe was ruined but you cant tell its that nasty unless you look under the car
