Exclamation i still have problems

First my car is a 88 vert, n/a with a true duel staight pipe exhaust. ok ive been having a problem with a suposed vac leak but its still not fixed. i removed the acv valve and put the plate on properly and let it sit for 24 hours so the rtv sealent would cure properly. well it drove fine from a cold start to my destination 30 miles away. then i got out and got back in the car 40 or so minutes later started it up and it seemed to get a little rough and drove about 18 miles and stoped for an hour and a half and got back in and right back to start it was doing the same **** as before. i cant rev past a certian point in which the car chooses, it cuts out while im driving a steady speed and it i give it gas it dosent do **** but keeps it from coming back. then i was pissed so i stoped and shut it off, started it and took off like a bat out of hell. suprisingly it went to redline but then started to cut out as i was crusing, after about 4 miles of off and on throttle to keep its speed up it started to act fine and not cut out. then i had to slow down to merge and it was all fucked up again. also when its running fine it dosent back fire too much even on the decel. but pops like its making pop corn when its acting up.

Have you set your tps, changed fuel filter, had injectors cleaned, performed basic maintenance on a regular basis?

It's very difficult to figure out what you are trying to say from your original post. Can you perhaps post a point form list of exactly the problems you are seeing and where they occur?

Based on what I could understand from your first post (not much ) I would have to guess that it's an ignition problem.

Does the car smoke at all? Backfire?

Also, RTV will not seal up the ACV properly because it will clog the small passages. This may cause weirdness, but not what you describe.
