Unhappy i saw a 7 in baaad shape

it made me soo sad to see it driving down the road. it was a blue s4 gxl and the engine sounded ok but the intrior was trashed like the guy took it offraod and the front end was bashed in. the hood buckled. i dont know why it saddens me so to see a messed up 7.

just thought i would share my unhappiness about the abuse of a 7.

i feel your pain. I have actually seen 3 or 4 RX-7s that are really junked up. One was an FC and two or three others were first gens.

It hurts me to see them in that bad of shape but what hurt even more was when i went to a salvage yard and saw RX-7s that were COMPLETELY trashed. Its wierd to imagine that those cars used to be new and now are so far from that.

Something made me kinda sad the other day, I went to get some spare rims for my 7, and there was a nice silver one (NA) in absolutely perfect external shape, except where they bashed it into some stuff in the yard. I think the engine is probably blown, or i don't know why it would be there. Ohwell. The rims are mine

I saw a white GTUs infront of the 99cent store with broken popup yesterday. When the 5 (yes 5!!!) mexicans came out and started to crame into the car i wanted to walk up and buy the poor thing to save it before it was driven into the ground.

I bought my car in bad shape, It was owned by someone that didn't even know that you have to add oil to a piston engine, WHY SHOULD THIS PERSON OWN A ROTARY??, she blew the motor once so 70,000miles before i bought it it was rebuilt. the bottem of the front bumper is pushed in and the front fenders bulge right below the molding, im thinking front end collision b/c under the red paint is white paint, but maybe its a primer of some sort. under the passanger door there is a huge dent and some other dents and dings all over the place, the molding is missing off the drivers side door and is comming off the passangers side door. But ill fix all that soon enough . The interior is bad also w/ cracks and broken stuff everywere, i wish someone would have realized that this car is so great why would you do this to a car. but what do you expect for $500. I can't wait to do all the body work and get it painted.

Hey, not all of us are as wealthy or fortunate as some. I'd rather have a banged-up rex than nothing at all!

it isnt that the guy didnt have money to keep it up, it is that he treated it like ****. the interior was all bleached from the sun and coated in dirt.

Here's a nice one .
239K miles on the original motor.
What you can't see in the pic is the passenger side door is black and passenger side fender is red. There also a blue aluminum hood that hasn't made it'w way onto the car yet.

It put down 122hp a few weeks ago.

I could care less if I see a 2nd gen in bad shape. They are very common, and it's not like they are God's gift to sports cars.

I'm just happy when I see one being driven like they should be

It's not mine and I don't think it'll ever be painted.
For a while it had a big (3 foot) 'R' on the hood done with latex paint and a bristle brush, but it was drawing too much attension.

i saw a civic last night with a custom flat black spray paint job. the funniset thing is that the guy tried to do the window tinting at the same time. unfortunately spray paint isnt transparent. oh it had a ram air hood too. and one l;ight blue spray painted fender.

I can't agree with you guys more. I hate seeing a trashy FC! I have seen 5 FCs around where i live, but none of them keep theirs as clean as me and my brother, I just want to slap them, especially the ones that always drive with the lights up and have those black things on the back window like old camaros had... I wanted to cry when I saw the 7 get dropped on HOT ROD TV !!!

Mine used to be damn near perfect till I forgot to put in my hood pins! A local friend, however, says my interior is the nicest he's seen! No broken pieces, and the factory "RX-7" embroidered floormats!

I would pay to see 3 mexicans squeeze into the hatch area!

I know of 6 RX7s arround here, 2GXLs(mine and the '86 i might buy), 1GTU, and 3TIIs. The GTU and one of the TIIs is in really good shape but mine and the other GXL are in OK shape but that will change soon, at least for the one i have now. I saw a TII today that was missing 1 FTP lense and the paint and some body didn't look good, it was the passanger FTP so maybe it was and attempt at cold air induction?? but the headlight is right there. I wish there were more arround here.
