I Need a Tach for my 7!! Help Plz

Is there a particular brand that will work with a rotary engine? I'd like to find something in the 3" size or 5" if it would fit in front of the factory cluster without blocking the speedometer. I have oil pressure, water temp, boost gauge in an a piller mount so don't need to see anything on the left side of the dash. I do not want a big tach mounted on top of the dash though.

Any recommendations? Brand? Place to buy?

No workie, it's hooked directly to the coil now and it still doesn't work.

I was gonna say... "what the 5" stocker aint enough? LOL"

But if it don't work... try replacing the cluster dude... it'll be cheaper, and it'll look cleaner

Isn't a guage cluster more than $200.00?

God no, where the hell are you shopping? a gauge cluster for an S4 T2 shouldn't be more than $50 used. Check ebay. And if it is, let me know, there's a local rx7 graveyard I can grab one from...

Maybe we're going about it the wrong way...
Maybe your trailings coils are not working correctly?
The tach is normally wired directly to the trailing coil, so I don't know what screwed up or what you did...

Could be Ted. I'm running 2 seperate hi-6 boxes to the trailing coils and one for the leading, then from the coils to the tach. Maybe that is sending some crazy signal.

Are you still using the stock ignitor?
If so, then the HI6 boxes shouldn't interfere with anything.
Did you mess with the wiring upstream of the trailing ignitor?
