Question I need some help

I just bought a 1990 GXL but it doesn't start. The guy I got it from told me he had a new engine put in and it was running just fine. But a few weeks ago the computer fried. The engine turns over but won't start. Which computer do I need? ECU, CPU,??? This is my first rx7 so any feedback would be of great help.

Doing a search would be your best bet.

However...

If he says the computer fried, he's probably talking about the ECU. However, troubleshoot some easier reasons why your car might not be starting.

- Spark?
- Fuel?
- Air?

man that kinda sounds fishy but if it doesn't start and he says its the computer than he is meaning the ecu. The ecu is the computer under the carpet on the passenger side. Good luck!
