Ok guys, it is time for me to finally get the rex back on the road from being out for nearly seven months. i want to go ahead and rebuild my S4 motor and port it myself but I want to use s5 rotors and replace the intake mani with the s5 fun stuff. I do beleive the s5 rotors will work just fine but it seems to be difficult to find used rotors and housings in good condition. You would think these things would be going for sale all over the place but seems to be a hard find right now for me. Anybody have any info?

Im getting a headache looking. You would think that with all the rebuilds going on that you would find people buying these up all the time, or is it not given that when the motor blows that that particular rotor and housing are gone?

it's a bit of a pain, i only did it because i found a pristine series 5 core to build up, so i then had all the counterweights and related stuff to swap. swapping the intake will run you into some problems and i didn't bother with it.

good info: http://rotaryresurrection.com/rotary...ries5swap.html

stick with s4 if you can

as for used parts... some luck and a junkyard worked for me

hmm, so you will need more than just the rotors to make it work. ive heard something about the counterwieghts but i thought that had more to do with matching up an s5 motor versus the transmission

If you use the s5 rotors you will also need s5 counterwights because s5 rotors are lighter. everything else is interchangeable as far as I know.
