I need a new O2 sensor

I failed my emisson test the other day, and now im desperate to fix the problem. I searched and read that the 02 sensor had to do something with my idle. Does anyone know anywhere i can buy one? i know i can buy one from mazdatrix but I don't want to pay 130ish and I hear that the universal sensors aren't that great. Any reccomendations? Thanks.

Also is it true that a new O2 sensor can IMPROVE your gas mileage?

I've never heard of the o2 sensor effecting idle. It will only help gas milage by a few mpg. It can screw with the emissions, though. I used the bosch replacement from autozone and it worked fine. I think it was less than 50.

When my O2 sensor was bad, the rich exhaust was turning my rear bumper black. Replaced the O2 sensor with a generic one I bought at Advance Auto, and the problem went away. During all this time, there was never an issue with idle being affected.

Thanks for mentioning about the rear bumper, I was always wondering how could my rear bumper get all this dirt on it SO quick? I'm about to go get one today. Thanks for the help.
