I Need new fuel injectors
Hello all !
I took my TII in to a mazda dealer about a power loss problem and they said that I need new fuel injectors. And, that the stock injectors, new from Mazda, are $565 each....... O.K. I know that I could get all four of them for that much somewhere.
So... I was wondering where I could get some new injectors for cheap that people know work well. Any ideas would be helpful.
Thank you.

It's HIGHLY doubtfull that you need new injectors. If they are really the cause of your power loss, have them cleaned by an injection shop.
What did they use to justify the injectors being the cause of the power loss? More then likely, it is a standard tuneup/vacuum leak/TPS problem.

They think that it is the injectors because there is a hesitation right at 3700rps . That is when the secondary injectors kick in. They said that the hesitation is from a bad spray pattern and they wanted to clean them for $175 and I just think that I could try getting new ones.
I don't think that my car needs a tune up because I had two since I had the engine rebuilt. One right after the rebuild and one after the break-in. And about vacuum leak they said that there is a small one around the turbo and intake but they don't think that that could cause that much of a power loss. However, I know that some of my vacuum lines aren't hooked up right because some aren't hooked up to anything!! One of them has a bolt in it to plug it and it goes right in to the intake but that just might be part of the "Slight vacuum leak" that Mazda found.
Whats TPS ?
(P.S. My TII is an 1987)

I have a few vacuum lines with bolts in them to block them off since I didn't feel like buying block off nipples. That shouldn't be it. The 3700ish rpm hesitation is usually due to tps OR a grounding issue. Oh and the dealership is usually full of it...cleaning injectors was under $30 shipped for me...and if your injectors were messed up beyond repair (not likely) you could buy a full set of used ones for about $50...thats what I sold mine for (they had just been cleaned and flow tested too)

It is most likely a grounding issue. In the Archive there is a write-up on how to fix this problem and upgrade your grounds.

I would go ahead and have your injectors cleaned at the same time.

Almost every rx-7 has grounding issues. Its a known fact. Read the faq. If there isnt enough voltage getting to the injectors/ecu, there will be a hesitation. Mazda dealers are full of bullshit.

We clean & Flow test them for $15 each, that also includes free return shipping.
Turn times are normally 1 day.

I still kind of wanted to know what after market fuel injectors work well and what ones don't. Has anyone heard of TLF performance injectors? ($230 buy now on ebay for all four.)

Any injectors of the proper size will work as long as the connectors match and it physically fits. Pretty much, and injector is an injector is an injector. Just pay attention to impedances.
FWIW, the hesitation is likely due to a bad ground at the pressure/boost sensor.
