I need my drug.
The weather here is snowy/icy. I have driven my FC only one in the past week and a half. I need to drive it again. I mean REALLY drive it.
My apartment is on my college campus so everytime I walk to class I walk by the car. I can't stand to walk by it and not be able to just hop in and drive. It sits so low and wide. The dual exhaust calls out to me. But I can't. Any amount of throttle causes the backend to kick out. It's not fun when you are actually trying to get somewhere.
I decided I'd solve my problem by putting on chains, but no good. While it allows me to drive without fishtailing, the harsh/bumpy ride they provide makes me not want to drive it. The bumpy/vibrating ride scares me into thinking it's going to break something.
So there is sits until I get my money to order the rims and tires I want. I will have that money at christmas time. But until then there my car will sit. Unmoved. Just sitting there collecting snow and begging to be driven. Begging to be redlined in every gear. It wants to go back to being that corner carving, tire shredding, rev happy beast that I fell in love with. It's going to kill me to not drive it like it should be until march. Hopefully the roads will clear up and my new s will provide me with adequate traction to redline it once in a while.
I need my drug. I need my RX-7.

I hate to gloat, but we haven't gotten an inch of the white stuff yet. The day will come, and i'll have to settle for rides in my roomate's Blazer.
Tommorow it just might snow, so I took the old girl out. Ran a little funny, felt like it was lacking power. Let it warm up, then ran her out onto I-88 for a stretch. Kind of smelled funny, might be time for a little bit of ATF.
I know what you mean, bro. For some reason, those two rotors just connect with you, and don't let go.

I'm sure we'll get it soon, but so far we haven't gotten an inch of snow in Kansas. This is very odd. To tell you the truth, it is warm enough for shorts out today! This is KANSAS! I can't believe it! It was pretty damn cold last week, but today and yesterday are unbelievable. I'm sure it'll get bad soon though. . .

I'm glad it hasn't snowed, yet. I live about an hour NW of Detriot and I'm waiting for the white **** to start flying. My winter car(92 POS Probe) sits in the garage waiting to be the winter beater that it was designed to be.
Enjoying everyday 'til it snows.

Is it too deep to put studless snows on and drive? There's a few 7's up here, including one white 91 on the base, and I saw him driving around this morning while I was (sadly) driving my beater Toyo. I think he had all-seasons (the fool!), but seemed to be handling the 6" or so we have on the ground now. Then again, he wasn't "redlining in every gear."

Advantages to living in redneck land
As I write this it is 74 degrees F here in good ol Arkansas. We usually get one or two days a year of snow. All you snowbirds are welcome here if you need a good weather fix in the winter.
It is fun watching these poor lost Arkie bastards try to drive on the inch or two of snow we do get though. You would think they have never seen a slick road in their life. Some farmer buddies of mine make a killing on the interstate by pulling out cars with their big 4WD farm tractors.
As far as I know the only true snow plows in the entire state are located at the airport in Little Rock.
