A signature loan is based on your credit history and ability to repay. There are no co-signers or collateral like with a regular loan.

Thats why I said it takes good credit to get one.

I understand - thanks.

Well, I'll be talking to the owner of the Tii tomorrow - I hope.. so I'll bring more updates to that tomorrow sometime. If all us fails, I'll do one of the two choices stated above

Hmmmm... I had a loan with my 1969 Cougar as collateral before. Norwest Financial, now owned by Wells Fargo bank. Shop around.

How did you end up doing that ragtop? The lady said I couldn't do that, because it wasn't really considered a loan for the sig. loan. Ugh.... she confused me badly. I think, instead of going with my bank (Tropical Financial Credit Union) I'm gonna try today Southtrust Bank ..

I didn't think it was THIS difficult to handle.

you people scare me, literally.

I'm calling the guy today, hopefully to get intouch with him - and not catch him at work or something. Gonna look at the car, and use the useful information everyone gave me in this thread, and hopefully come back with happy results and feedback to you guys

Fine, ignore my advice, but it will work, it always does! Just make sure you wear a mask and you duck, sometimes the cops mistake you for a robber, I don't get it, all you do is ask politely for all the money, and they hand it over, it's not like you're threatening them with the gun pointed at them *shrug* Oh well, damn americans

Update as of tonight...

I had test drove the Tii tonight. It ran very good. No hestitation. Nothing. I forgot to ask him about why the car needed a new ECU, I'll remember next time when I ask him about it. He had another guy before he met up with me tonight test drove it... He might buy it as well, but also asked the same question I wanted to ask him.. Could I put a down payment kinda deal - and pay monthly? He said, he would, but he's been ripped off so many times because of that, he won't do it anymore. So, I said, well... I'll get back intouch with you for sure.

There was a guy I was talking to, while waiting for Jimmy (guy with Tii) and before I left to go back home - he told me he'll look out for some Tii's that are in almost perfect shape/condition and let me know. So, either way.. if I don't get this one, I'll still be looking... or if I do find one that is in nice of a shape as this one.. I might be selling my GXL for her. But.. I really don't want to.. just because if the Tii breaks down for whatever reason, I won't have another car to drive around... ya know?
