well after the Rotary Revo , im selling my rx7 its a 1990 S5 GXL gona have mush body work and paint job done befor carshow and im selling the stero with it , it has 2 100watt tweeters, 2 200watt mids, 1 276 watt mid sub , and 1 300 watt bass, with all matched amps , only thing thats bad is its an auto outher than thats everything is perfect and it ha just over 100,000miles , altho when i bought the car the tires were changed very erly and were bad , they were very small for the car it was showing 60mph at 40mph so i dont realy know how many real miles it has im guessin 70,000miles and the engine is GREAT its gettin a good clean up and an air box , so how much do ya think it will go for? great hop up car that could have tranny droped for a 5spd or a nice crusier, sry all i just want more power in gettin an 89 mustang 302 cause rotary just aint for me i guess to much crap under hood

 

the tweeters and mids are pioneer and the mid sub is jenssen and the Big bass (18") is JLAudio

 

I was thinking 7.000 cause i payed about 2.310 for it and it was in shitty shape untill i replaced almost the whole electrail system and it still needs a new rear wiper motor it has a new ECU unit and all has been keept in peak shape it still has WORKING AAS!!!!

 

I don't think there is any way you will get 7k for an NA

If you are trying to recoup audio investment, remove and sell seperately-some people don't care about having thousands in audio in a car.

Book on 90 GXL in excellent shape is about $4,100.

Your going to have to find the right person to get $6,000 for it. That may take awhile. I have $25,000 into my car, I'd be lucky to get $10,000 for it.

 

yeah, but not when it comes to an rx-7. you should take all the extras out and sell them separatley

 

Id say youd be very lucky to get $4k for it. Id say $3500 would be realistic.

To answer your original question; I'd offer $3500 for the car, but since I know you've abused it by trying to get it to peel out and whatnot, I figure $2500 or so would be ideal.

 

I got $4100 from Edmunds True Market Value for retail, Kelley Blue book shows $3500 for private party, this is with all options and auto.

We're just giving it to you straight, value is whatever someone will give you that you will accept at any point in time.

Most people will check classifieds and book value when shopping for any car and base offers on that.

Turbos and verts were more expensive and most people would not pay $6k for those.

 

i thought i was lucky in getting 4500 for my 90 GXL 5 spd with a $2,000 mazda reman in it with about 1k miles on it.

He'll be lucky to get $3k. People that are looking for an RX7 do their research and determine beforehand that Auto is not acceptable. In this market that auto actually depreciates the value of the car. I remeber Mephis posting about swapping out his auto months ago, yet he still dumped money into that car?

lol well you ppl arent very smart , your only bashing me cause i wana get a more powerful car , itll be at Rx7 Revo and it will be for sale with a new paint job and everything under the hood cleaned and the interior will look like new , the stero systm will be one of the biggest there im sure cause of my 18" JLaudio speaker sitting in the back , and i never tried to burn out , i never did an N- D drop anyways i did hit the gas and tried but thats not happening and ask anyone , an AUTO in any car cost more than a 5spd so you ppl dont know much about resale , and i dont know why some dumbass would put 3 in smaller than stock tires on it and make it show 10 miles per real mile that fkd up the Odm bad altho i doubt anyone will belive me,and i bet arron cakes is only worth $2,000 , lol thats all hes gettin out of an S4 i could care less if its making 700hp its not gona get that kinda money! mines a Very mint cond 1990 S5 every option in it and everything working and even a new ecu i put in it when i bought it that was like almost $700 and its had the turn signal and light switch replaced $400 and almost everything is new , new battery thats HO the stero is like i said the best youll get in a Rx-7! ill never worry with it once i get a 89 mustang with 225hp stock and yes theres not near as much computer crap under a mustangs hood!
