I need help with my 87 turbo swap

Hi guys I bought this project car from a kid for $800 it doesn't run so I have gone over a lot of things I thought it might be, first the injectors they work then the engine harness which the one that came with the car was cut near the ecu then about a foot of wire added to "make it longer" i guess so I bought a new one off ebay well it was for an s5 with high impedance injectors so I spliced in the resistor pack from the other harness and so the injectors fire the rotors get fuel cause I took the plugs out and there was gas on it but no ignition. oh of course I had made sure the crank angle sensor was lined up with the timing mark on the main pulley since it wasn't even bolted in when I got it. anyways the only thing I haven't checked yet is if its getting spark or not but I was just wondering if anyone knew anything else that I might want to look at. oh one last thing I have removed the rats nest and all the smog equipment and the bac and bac solenoid are still there though.

ok so I went back out to it and the trailing coil pack was unplugged now when I try and turn it over it turns then sputters like its gonna start then it doesn't then after a little more turning over it does it again. any suggestions I tried the flooded start procedure but nothing. one more thing I took the charcoal filter out and caped the like that it leads to the one by the fuel filter could that have anything to do with it?

I'm going to recommend you do a compression check before you proceed with any more diagnostics.

Also, grammar and punctuation go a long way when asking for advice on a forum.

I did a ghetto compression check that Aroncake talks about on his website and the from rotor goes ss....ss.....pssst while the rear rotor goes psst....psst....psst so it looks like I am in for a rebuild. my plans for this car are to race it in either NASA or SCCA so I want to do a street port, balancing, lapping and upgrade to 3mm apex seals.

thanks for the suggestion, but I wasn't aware that forums where that formal I was just asking for advice not an English class

I've read that 3mm apex seals aren't really an upgrade, just a way to reuse your rotors if they're marred to where you can't use 2mm seals. But, I'm low on experience; you'd be best off researching that for yourself.
