i need help bad anyone that is online

i need help really bad. my rx7 is my very first car i had it not even a month running perfect everything worked up until today. i started it up just a few minutes ago and the engine wouldn't idle without help from the gas pedal. i held the clutch in and put it in nuetral but as soon as i let off the gas it spudders and begins to stall and if i rev it up it sounds like a ******* dirt bike.

could my engine be blown ? someone..anyone please tell me whats wrong with my rx7

its stock. aftermarket intake filter
exhaust is stock
everything else is just stock.
169k miles
if anyone is online now and has any idea of what the problem might be please try to help me out.

take out main fuse, closest to engine, in engine bay. crank it for like 5-7 seconds. pause, repeat. check for vacuum leaks.

start there

If your going to pulla fuse it should be the EGI one not the main. Pull the green one. I don't think it will fix your problem though. Plus this type of thing is usally done when the motor is going out. My advice would be to take it to a Rotary tech near by where you live to have them look at it.

You might of flooded it, if you try the pulling th EGI fuse and it still doesn't run, check your coil packs for spark...what the hell are you doing working on the 7 this early in the morning?

Have you done a compression test on the motor previously? Check your compression numbers to make sure they are acceptable.

i'll try them idea's. my main problem now is idling. the car is idling under maybe 700 rpm probably way more...

i start the car, give it gas as a substitute to idle it. let out the clutch while tranny is in neutral and then i let go of the gas to see if it will idle on its own. surprisingly it idle'd, but very very low so low you would think its a lawnmower idle'ing. could my engine be dying or is it possible one of my friends fucked with the idle'ing screw to mess with me? i dont even know if there is an idle screw lol

The sound and idle issues you describe are consistent with a blown rotor (one rotor having one or more apex seals missing).

Remove the EGI fuse so it doesn't try to start.

Pull the front trailing (top) spark plug. Turn the engine over. You should hear evenly spaced "chuffs" from the missing plug.

Do the same with the rear plug.

If you hear no "chuffs", or uneven spacing from either plug, your engine is blown and needs a rebuild.

Welcome to RX-7 ownership.
