Unhappy I need help

Ok i have just finished putting a newer engine in my 87 N/A. I have it wired up i checked all fusses and battery is brand new. For some reason when i go to turn the key it clicks and makes the noise as if the battery is dead(its not). I have been looking for loose grounds...and every thing in between. I have been trouble shooting it for awhile now and im out of ideas.... Any ideas let me know...thanks

Its all good little man. Like the guy above me said. Source out the starter. Tap it with a hammer lightly. Then try. If that doesn't work. You might need to check if the starter still works by testing it at a auto store.

And if it's not the starter recheck all your grounds, especially the EFI harness. Also, the AFM connection.

I've got a '87 N/A too, and mine did the same thing to me. It was the starter. Once I replaced it, everything was fine.

You are new to the site so the first time is on us. Don't use dumb *** thread titles like "I need help". Damn, dude, we all need help. Try using a descriptive title like "Is my starter dead?" It is not as annoying and you'll probably get more looks and responses.
