I Need Brutal Honesty..Removing The Intake Manifolds.

Ok, I want to port. Also, I seem to have broken the front port sleeve. After I opened it, I broke off the arm that connects it to the actuator, and now, it feels like the sleeve is locked in close. How hard will it be to remove the entire manifold setup? I will be doing this with no air tools, in my garage. Any comments??

As long as you have a 12mm wrench/ratchet and a 10mm wrench/wratchet it is not very difficult to remove the intake manifold. Just do not drop any nuts into the engine!

removing it is easy! putting it back together is the toughest part. I'll dig up the thread I posted about the tricky parts.

I can do this blind folded now in about 1.5 hours. I have done it so much. I just got done porting my top manifold with a dremel but the lower one will not come off anyomore due to a striped bolt.

Thiers 4 bolts and two nuts holding the lower manifold on. The two nuts are at the bottom and u cant see. Thiers two bolts on the left (visible) and two on the right(also visible) Just take the sleeves and actuators off and glue in some racing sleeves. JB weld the holes from the actuator with a cut metal plate or I just stuck a dime in and RTV silcone. Then screwed the original little plate thing back on to tighten it down. Cant do the rest of porting till I figure out how to get that dam nut out. Anyone know how much its going to cost??

RICO..If u need help or pics just ask and I will give them to you. I made a small video of the location of things before I took them off and became quite handy.
