With the engine fully hot, turn the engine off but key to ON. Go to the engine bay. Touch the solenoid with the Blue plug with your fingers. At the same time, move the throttle to over half open. Question: Did you FEEL the solenoid click?????

Do the same thing with the GREY solenoid. Move the throttle to almost full open. Can you or did you feel the GREY solenoid click when the throttle is moved from closed to open??????

IF you felt both solenoids click at sometime, then you did not screw up the TPS function at all. And your problem is another thing.

The solenoids are on the left side of the engine. Can't miss 'em.

Bottom line is that is what the TPS does in life. It sends a signal to the ECU to open/shut those two solenoids. Not the tps only function, but one of the Main ones.

Then again your TPS might be out of adjustment so far that might not work. SO. Do this. Hold the throttle OFF the TPS plunger. Key ON, engine HOT. Move the TPS plunger in and out and feel the two solenoids mentioned above. They should click. DO NOT HOLD THE TPS PLUGNGER IN ALL THE WAY FOR PROLONGED PERIODS OF TIME.
