I love my 88 GTU but now Gear leak?

Hey guys I got a new 88 GTU and she is sweet but after coming home from a long road trip up to Michigan I stopped for gas and some a little smoke coming out from underneath the car...I looked under and it was some gear fluid leaking onto the main cat...

I haven't had time to check her out close, I have had a few RX-7's and never knew of one to leak there.
Any ideas? Gasket? Loose plug?

I will get under there soon & check her out. I picked up some Mobil 1 to replace it, but need to get the leak fixed of course.
Thanks for any imput.

well for the simplest idea...make sure the fill plug is in and is tight. its on the passenger side of the tranny several inches up and the head is square.

clean the area up with brake cleaner to inspect for cracks in the housing.

replace the brass/copper crush washer around the drain plug

Good luck!
