Ive seen infomercials for this kinda product but i cant remember what its called. Its a tube with some goo in it. you buy it in base colors (blue red brown green etc.) and rub it in any shade of that color and it fills in the scratch.

Total BS - they got me for $25 too. The only thing it did was change the color of my skin on my hands

$500+ for the body shop, or 1800 grit wet/dry sandpaper, and a can of factory paint for a quick fix. Other than that, sand the paint down, prime, prime, and then paint, paint, paint, etc the whole door. Basically a lot of work that the body shop will do for ya!

If it's not through the clear then most of it can be buffed out. Normally you can spray some glass cleaner or something on the area and if the scratch seems to go away while it's wet then it's not through the clear. If it doesn't then it's time to get out the sandpaper and paint gun, unless you just want to take it somewhere. I would recommend the latter if you aren't proficient at painting. I have been able to do some minor touch ups with my airbrush after the buffing process left a few bad spots and the person didn't want to pay us to paint the panel and didn't mind a slightly imperfect job. It does, of course, look better than someone with a touch up pen. Good luck... and I'd buy that gun...
Don.
