I killed my car, HELP!

Well I'm not exactly sure what happened but I think I killed my car.

I was changing the fuel pump pickup screen and the fuel filter today. (with a almost full tank of gas, yes i was off in lala land today) Anyway I got it all back togeather and started the car. It ran fine I drove it around shut it off and then tried to start it again. Here is the interesting part.

I turned on the ignition to run and was just about to start the car when everything electrical just died. All the dumby lights were on like normal and the radio was playing then everything went dead. I shut it off took the key out and put it back in. It beeps when the key is in the ignition with the door open but no other lights will come on and it will not turn over or click or anything. I am thinking maybe i didnt push the fuel pump connector all the way togeather and without that circuit closed it wont work?

Brand new batery, checked all the fuses (under the hood and in the passenger compartment) couldnt find a broken fuse, but I will replace the main fuse tomorow.

Any other ideas?

Oh yeah, 90 GTU.

get a multi-meter out and check for drains in power also check your connections on the fuel pump.

The fuelpump circuit has nothing to do with the rest of the car...everything should work normally, it just wouldnt fire up due to lack of fuel. I'd look at my battery terminals and connections.

And check your MAIN fuse under the hood on the strut tower.
