hey everyone

Its an 87 t2 engine with 87 t2 engine harness in an 88 convertible. Does it have high or low impedance injectors??

ps sorry for the noob question. i keep forgetting. lol

Look at the fuel injectors themselves...
You should be able to see at least the front / secondary.

Purple / tan + center key = low impedence
Red / pink + offset key = high impedence

Since this is a Zenki motor, I'll assume the fuel injectors have rectangular plugs.
If the plugs are oval, then it's automatic high impedence.

i think i want the 1000cc injectors they have. should i get the american or japanese models? im assuming japanese but im not 100%

 

Prior to June 1987 they were LOW. Greater than June 1987, HIGH. Pre June 1987 had a solenoid resistor package. Later than 1987 did not have a solenoid resistor package. They got HIGH resistance injectors.

There's a locating TAB on the injectors. IF the tab is centered, then it's LOW. If the tab is offset to one side, it's......yes.

Does your EM harness have a SOLENOID RESISTOR PACKAGE? If it does, then it gets low resistance injectors. IF the EM harness has no SOLENOID RESISTOR PACKAGE, then it gets HIGH resistance injectors.

Don't know what a solenoid resistor package is? Do a SEARCH. Use HAILERS as the name and SOLENOID RESISTOR as the word, for the SEARCH.
