Racing beat cat backs are quite common around here. Pretty quiet, and have a good sound. They are made specifically for rotaries, so thats a plus. Also the RP may be quieter. I read that here, but have never heard them side by side. Both are a dual muffler/Y-pipe design. (quieter than the single muffler setups)

Both can be found here.

Theres also many others, if your lucky, maybe you'll get a lot more opinions.

I don't personally have one yet, though everyone seems to recommend the Racing Beat system whether it be the catback, single exhaust, or the (highly recommended) true dual exhaust system.

You can check out the different systems at either Racingbeat.com or Mazdatrix.com

I use 10w30 in the winter, and might actually try running 20w50 this summer. (starting temps around 90+) As far as which brand of oil, I recommend Castrol GTX. Anything non synthetic, although some synthetics can be used, I just stay away from them. K&N oil filters are good also.

Welcome to the forum...

Racing beat for exhaust...worth saving for even if you're on a budget.

Mazda oil filter, I use Castrol GTX for oil.

Go over the whole car maintenance wise if the exhaust is alright for now. Plugs (OEM NGK's or Denso), wires, tranny and diff oil (synthetic), fuel filter, air filter, coolant flush, etc. Check timing, adjust TPS if you have a bouncing idle. If you have the 3800RPM hesitation, do the grounds. O2 sensor is done by now...

I should have just said search the stickies and archives at the top of this section
