I just got the Kyosho Mini-Z FC3S!
Yo,
If you remember Vaughn's post awhile back about the Mini-Z FC bodies by Kyosho...I just got one!
I was at a hobby shop and they had 'em for $29.95. I of course got the red one. The detail is remarkably good, and it comes in a display case.
The FC comes with Watanabe RS-8's, black of course. They actually have some spare rims, I might pick up. They look like white Volks SE37K's. It would look pretty much like my GTUs, except for that pesky hoodscoop.
I recommend this model to anyone who wants an FC to roll around on their desk, stick ontop of their monitor, or practice drifting with.
Oh, and if you want to drop $130 bucks, you can actually get the little remote controlled car the body attaches to. They're pretty cool too!
Also, you can get the car in a mineral/gunmetal gray. But I like the Blaze Red one myself.
Vaughn, if you want to throw those pics back up...

You can buy the cars with the control off of Ebay from a seller named "StellaModels" for like 90 bucks plus shipping. I've got one. It's brand new. I'll sell it with shipping for $100. I've also got for it....total front upgrade suspension set, total rear upgrade suspension set, carbon fiber H frame for the rear, rear roll shocks, super sticky 25 degree tires, a Kyosho X speed upgraded motor, and a custom built NoMotorLimit Evader engine. Even though the Mini Z is small, the NML Evader will probably make it travel at about 35 MPH. I got it, but none of my friends are buying any of them, so I don't really have anything to do with it. If anyone's interested, send me an E-mail to Gimpdiggity@cs.com.
I would sell the body and the remote for 100 bucks including shipping.
Front suspension upgrade for 25 plus shipping.
Rear suspension upgrade for 25 plus shipping.
Kyosho X Speed for 10 plus shipping.
Tires for 5 plus shipping.
I'm keeping the evader, just in case!!!

Hell yah they do Node!!! Last time I checked, he has a Mini Z in an older Skyline body that he's running at 56 MPH. That's insanely fast for a vehicle that's only 7 inches long. He's gonna sell the setup in vehicles for around $450...that's a bit steep, but I guess if you're a RC speed freak, you couldn't go wrong...

Yo,
FYI, it looks like the same scale as all the RX-7 FC models out there 1/24 so all the Fujimi add on wheels will hopefully fit.
You know which ones I want:

Overplayed?! My ***! Those wheels still rule.

Ummm...just wondering where did you get those RC kits? I am looking for a Skyline RC kit that could atleast hit 34 mph. If they exist or whatever, just throw out some sites where I could purchase them

Gefunk, it's pretty tough to make a Mini Z hit those speeds. You have to tune it and buy just about everything available for it. I mean, the car is only 6-7 inches long, it's a 1:24th scale car.
I know that HPI was making a skyline body for their 1:10th cars. You could buy a 1:10th car that's pretty quick and then buy the Skyline body...

Hey I found the supplier. You can either get just the shell & display box, the complete display kit (gears, engine, etc..)
Here's JUST the shell:

and here's the complete RC car kit:

Yo...your in Sac...we race our mini-z.
There are 4 of us that race. We only have one track set up at this time. It is pretty fast and safe...as long as you can race flat out w/o any mistakes. We have master the art of drafting and passing in the turns...flat out acceleration. Of course with the help of all the suspension mods and motor upgrade. The best body to race at this time is the CLK. We will be racing the RX-7 body next week. We are also trying the camber kit on it. I have tried it with my CLK but not much difference...except for the dartiness on the straights.
If you are neer the Mather/Rancho Cordova area....lets hook up and race!
PM me!

Anyone wanna race? There is a new track that opened up in Citrus Heights.
We are planning to race this Friday. PM me if ANYONE else wants to meet and race. We currently have 4 cars and are looking for more.

I painted the blue one to look like my sapphire blue 5A FC. I don't have a stripe on my real car but it looked cool on the radio control car. I run a nitro RS4 RTR and it is fast as ****...

I get them direct from Japan. They are not that expensive, but the EMS shipping and wire transfer (no credit cards) adds to the cost. They are light, so I can get 1-50 of them in a box for a single wire and EMS fee.
