when I had sleepy headlights on my car I went to radio shack. got
2 mangents
2 reed switchs for house windows alrams
and a switch
and relay

and dependig on where I put the maganets turned on the reed switch that stoped the head light motor. so they both stoped in the same spot each time.

took about 20 min to do everything.

fcturbo2: h0w much did you get those lights for?..and did you say bought them from JCWhitney?

it was like $105 or so total for two sets, yea i got them from JCWhitney, i'll put exactly which lights i used in the write up

wow vtekeater, do you have both top and bottom shrouds on the assembly? what happened to the lights? can you get any better pics?

there's probably some way without a kill switch to adjust the assembly height but i think it would be too much trouble...and plus i like the abililty to have it open all the way up if i need to, like if i need to adjust the lights somehow. after a while u develop the timing for hitting the switch at the right time

write up coming within a week after new years (if not i'll let you know)

directions are about half done
sorry now that i'm on winter break i have had a bunch of things to deal with
and i have also had to work
and my friend just got back from switzerland after being there for 6 months
he thinks the lights are badass
directions coming within the next 2-4 days
dont worry i havent forgotten

oh and by the way, how would you guys like the directions?
as a web page?
or as an attached file?
i think i would rather have it be a web page, can someone hook it up with a little bit of web space that i know won't be deleted or anything like that? i just want a constant address which people can go to in the future.
thanks

Ya I still have the plastic surround on it, just shaved it a little for the shape of the lights.

Interesting. That looks like my conversion from stock to HID's then to the round lights converions (left car pictured on write-up)

Just an FYI to others, I also host write-up for FC's on my site as well. The offer is out to anyone with a write-up for any mods that are common or frequestly requested.

Good job.

Thats' sweet, but are the regular lights the same as the high beam lights? And, if so do the high beams supply a significant difference over the regular driving lights?

they are the same
if you have all four come on when you want brights, then it is a significant difference.
if you only have two come on when you want brights, you could just angle them differently.
does that answer your question?
