I don't understand what you mean by starting/grabbing/etc.

Does the engine rotate when you turn the key to the start position?

If the engine does not rotate, do you hear the starter turning when the key is in the start position?

If you do not hear the starter turning, You have a wiring issue (or bad starter, but I think you replaced that).
If you do hear the starter turning, you may (possibly) have a bad flywheel (should make grinding noises) or an improperly mounted starter (more likely).

If the engine does rotate, you have a problem that is not starter related. Most likely flooding (do a search for flooded).

Either way, chances are that if you get a tow strap and a friend to pull you, your car may still fire if towed at 20-30 mph in 3rd gear.

I hope this helps a little.

you probably broke some teeth off of the flywheel, or you ground down the cog on the starter so bad it wont grab the flywheel anymore

This is usually due to the starter not being secured properly, or the flywheel not being secured properly, but I doubt it would run and start for 2 months if the flywheel was off balance

Pull the starter

Pull the starter, look in the hole, have ign. off, have someone turn the engine with a ratchet and socket on the alternator nut (clockwise looking at the alternator fromt the front), inspect teeth on flywheel.

Inspect starter gear teeth. Hook up power to it, make sure pinion moves out. Do this even if starter is new (the replacement one).

Lastly (although it doesn't seem like the problem), if starter doesn't spin fast enough, get a boost. Sometimes a battery will show 12.7V (fully charged), but won't put out the Amps it has to.
