I have to pull the fuel relay for start up?

Alright I have a recently rebuilt engine, about 250 miles on it now, I replaced the rear seal and all the oil and water jackets, I have stock 550s for the primaries and 680 for the secoundaries, so heres my problem I have to pull my fuel relay every time I want to start my car and its getting annoying, I pull it then pump the gas which obviously wouldnt pump anything, but it lets air in and then starts it usually takes a couple of secounds before start. so why is it doing this? My last engine Did it occasionally, but this time its everytime.

wait... are you pulling the EGI INJ fuse (deflooding procedure)? What exactly are you disconnecting, and where is it located?

sounds to me like you are having flooding issues. just wire a fuel pump switch, that way you can avoid having to pull the relay....

your running 680cc injectors on a stock ecu?if you are,put the 550cc injectors back on.you need a fuel controller to run bigger injectors.
