i have no power

i have no power

today i was going to go eat lunch and went to start my car. i noticed that the lights were on. and now the battery is dead. so then i tried to jupm it, and accidently put the + on the -. (i read the label wrong) but now i have no power to the insterments radio and starter. did i fry something up? what could it be? i need to know quick because i need my car by to night. thanks

Yes. Check you main fuse, I think its 80 Amps?

about $3 from the local parts store, buy a new fuse. It's BOLTED in place, so don't go pulling on it! You need to remove the two bolts on each end of the fuse block, pull it up, then pop the covers in the center off and you'll see the 10mm bolts holding it in place. Remove these, install new fuse, bolt it back up, and you're good as new. It's the fuse block located on the drivers side strut tower under the hood, just so you know.

i no where it is, and also if the main fuse poped would my headlights still come on. (becuase they still do) thanks for your help
