I have a 89 Rx-7 and i got a few questions**First Rx7**

Hey Whatsup i just got a 89 Rx7 from this guy for a thousand now there little problems wrong with it which im trying to figure out
#1 When i rev out in 1st it bogs a bit
#2 my headlight **** the lights go up but they dont turn on along w/ the cluster an parking lights
#3 when stalled i try to re-start the car and it struggles to turn on for a bit until i hit the gas an then it starts back?
#4 guy said i need a tps what is that and what does it do?
#5 when i start the car it shoots to a 3k rpm idle for bout 25 seconds then it lowers to the right idle...da hellz that about lol


Bare with me this is my first mazda i have the money to fix but i just moved from honda into rx7's so just help me out

problem numba 3, that is call flood, you flood ur engine with gas then when u gas it clears up agian, normal

okay so thats normal thx bro now the otha questions thing that really worries me is the bog when revvin out dunno why, and the headlights cant drive at nite

hahaha i just got my first rx7 also i moved here from hondas also. but im starting to think this is gonna be a bigger headach than the honda was. lol .

but is you car a turbo II or is it n/a

problem 1 is probably related to problem 4 which is a Throttle Position Sensor, you probably just need to adjust it back into spec, which if you buy a haynes manual it will explain it, or if you search TPS it should provide you an answer

The FAQ on the top of this section has lots of information you may find useful in learning about your car. Don't forget to check out the archives too, alot of the problems you will come across with your FC have been addressed before, many of the threads also have writeups.

Most of these questions are directly answered in the FAQ. Also contained in the FAQ are links to the Factory Service Manuals which will answer almost all technical questions related to the car. The Archives contains many other informative topics.

yea thanks for all the help guys, and its NA rx-7 wuz gonna get a turbo one but it needed a engine rebuild ahhh so much reading ill have to do thanx again
