I got my car fixed
So I took my 1987 rx-7 to the shop and had it worked on...
They told me the clutch got stuck together! Supposedly because it was sitting in the parking lot for so long ( the guy that sold it to me didn't even bother to fire it up and drive it a couple miles once in a while) the clutch got rust on it and cause the clutch to stick together lol.
Anyways, I was finally able to enjoy this car on the road, took some back roads and windy turns. The rotary engine sounds amazing and the rx7 itself handles pretty well for a 22 year old car with stock suspensions.
Ok here's the problem, shifting from 1 to 4 is simple and doesn't require much of my strength (as it should be), but to get it into fifth, it takes a bit of my arm strength. I was wondering if anyone has this same problem getting into fifth gear. I hear no grinding so I know there isn't anything wrong with that gear, its just the stick is hard to move into the 5th gear position. it's really stiff. And if this isn't normal, is there anything that I should get done to it to fix it? I mean it makes my shoulder feel as if it's going to pop out!
