I got my 10ae last night
well i finally got my 10ae. 6 hour round trip and 5 hours wrenching on it in between really hurts. here are the pics...http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/my2sevens...c=ph%26.view=t there under new T2. and to all thos people who said i wouldn't make it from nahner nahenr nahner. i do have a few questions though. the speedo doesn't work. doesn't jump or anyhting. is the speedo electronic or mechanical? and what would make it not work. the cruise control doens't work either. is it tied in with the speedo or a separate system? none of the lights in the climate control work except the two triangles on the temp and fan speed sliders. is it bad bulbs or somehting else? that's all for now but im sure i'll come up with more. thanks

The speedometer has a electronic speed sensor, and the Cruise Control uses it. Go to www.fc3s.org. You can download the entire service manual for the car.
As for the Logicon, I'd suggest you pull the unit and resolder all the pins first. Cold Solder joints are a common problem with the Logicons and CPUs (the unit that contains the turn signal, horn relay, and seatbelt timer). There's a writeup on the Internet for that. If the indicator lamps had burned out, it should be fairly easy to replace them.
I also looked at the pics. Looks like the car is in decent shape. At the least it could use a good wash :-), though it could benefit a new paint job and a recovered leather interior.
