So I got my jspec, it's sitting in the garage, and Im prepping it to drop in the car. I have a few questions. First, is the little heat shield over the turbo required? Is it safe to take it off? #2, is removing power steering as simple as just taking the ps assembly off? and #3, I know I have to strip some of the parts off in order to hook up the wiring harness and such, but what all do I need to remove before I drop this thing in? Thanks tons, Im getting excited.

1) It is not required but recommended. It helps keep engine bay temps lower.

2)This is somewhat iffy. Some people say convert to a manual rack and some say just removed it and leave some fluid and cap it off.

3) I dont know. No experience

 

You'll probably have to take off the UIM and TB to get some plugs...injectors being a few of them.
