i got bored....look at this intake idea
I got bored one day and i came up with this design...just tell me what u think about it and tell me if it would be workable....u can proabbly install two of these if u really wanted to, but i dont know. The nitrous perger is for the exit ....so u can sound and look cool like u have N2O

im running an N/A....thats one reason...and i said i was bored....just thought it be neat...and u cant inject CO2 in the intake to mix with the air cuz wouldnt it cause it to die as in a fire and CO2 fire ext.....just tell me what you all think

That sounds like a good idea but where are u going to get a intercooler that size?? u would have to order just core and have very custom end tanks made, but then u have to figure how much the CO2 will disipated and so one and so forth.............

well my dad is a machinist so i can have the IC built....and then i use to play paintball and we have 20oz and 24oz tanks to shoot the guns....well they also have remotes for them....and out of the tanks they shoot around 850 psi...but it would only be for the start offs of something like that.

I imagine the restriction caused by the "radiator" in the system would negate the effects of cooling the air. It seems far more complicated than is really necessary. Put your efforts into a decent cold-air intake instead.

why not just route a hose around the intake pipe like a coil?? That way you would have no restriction inside your intake, and you would still have the cooling effect. Then you could discharge it outside of the engine bay, like down low towards the ground, or if you REALLY wanna be rice you could make it look like that Skyline in the beginning of 2 **** 2 Curious...

Or you can run a "Cascade" refregeration system with freon 410 and 13... you will drop your intake temp. to like -50F..
But you should get a good Cold Air intake.. it will cost less. And for a N/A car... is it really needed anyway...

Coil idea i might have to do....whut is the best metal to have a fast cool down? Aluminum, brass, etc....(not a big metal head....just wondering..) Also that freon thing would be real cool(catch the pun) but what all would u have to have? thanks for the pic vaugh

I followed up report on ur CAI....if i had the money i would go for it....but since im a Krispy Kreme worker with no money....i have to end up making my own crap for the car til i can save up....I am not gonna do this cuz A) i dont have time cuz im usally at work....B) dad lives in MO and i live in NE...not that far but once again dont have time....but i just drew this up to see what ppl thought.. thx for the replies

I would agree that the best bet would be to do the intake pipes. Aside form being easier to make probably, it would also could be done right next to the engine instead of before you run it over the top of the engine through the throttle body and back again over the top and then into the engine. Cool it off right as it's going in. I don't think you'd honestly see that much gain unless you made it contact all the air going in. I guess that may mean it would be better to do your initial idea?
