Well I'm starting the engine swap from my 89 GTU to this GXL tomorrow... I'm starting with a running and driving car... hopefully I end up with a running, driving car... but it seems anything can happen in the world of 7's... wish me luck!

That's not a hard mark to hit - RB midpipe/cat replacement gains 18hp, figure a couple or three whp for K&N filter and synthetic lube in the diff and tranny = 180+hp for an S5, more than a stock S4 TII

I'm with you there, but my rebuild is finished in the next few weeks. My oil seals went the day after the first oilchange, damn monkeys put like 20/50 wt in to hide the oil problems. the rubber seals came out in a million pieces.

Project update... I've been working on this car all week. The brake master cylinder had been leaking for quite some time in the car so almost all the paint was stripped off the drivers side frame rail.. I degereased the all I could in the engine bay, repainted the frame rail and now the engine is in. I haven't got it running yet because the PCV and the air pump bracket broke in the engine move from my 89GTU to the 89GXL and I'm not in that much of a hurry since I go back to college tomorrow... so I'll just wait until the parts come in to finish the car and start it up. I'm having a little trouble with the GXL's power steering pump... I can' t find where one of the wires connects to. I found where the 6 pin connector connects up but I can't seem to find where the 2 pin/ 2 wire connection goes. the GTU pump only has a single wire instead of the 2 wires... and I can find where that would connect. Anyone taken the pump out recently and remember where that connection goes? Thanks for the positive comments.
