I found a 86, with no sunroof.
Slightly stiffer chassis! And no random drop of water you can't figure out where the heck it came from..
The sunroof car should actually have the stiffer chassis.
The non sunroof roof is a thin sheet with a flimsy support front to back to keep the roof from denting down with a careless use (like skinny model sitting on roof of car).
Then sunroof car has the sunroof tub that holds the sunroof mechanism and bolts to the actual structure of the roof which are the sidebeam extensions off of the A pillars. Now you have a truss structure of the roof above and the tub below tying in the structural members of the roof.
At 5'8" headroom with a helmet is a problem for me in an FC. A little bit in the vertical direction but mainly the side.
It is also nice to drop 35lbs off the highest point in the car.
