I fixed it window switch with ford parts
I went to the junkyard today to find a window switch for my 1986 GXL. Every RX-7 the place had the switch was gone so I looked around and saw a Ford Probe and I rember that Ford and Mazda Share alot of part so i took out the window switch and it has the same connecter as my RX-7 so i got it for $5.00 and went home cut the plastic to fit in my switch hole with a cut-off wheel and pluged it in and it works great. I dont remember ever seeing this before and I thought everyone would like another cheep fix.

NICE..... too many people think that only the stocvk part will work... a switch is just a switch.... MOST window switches operate the same way... a spring loaded rocker set so that its normally open.. you push it forward and it makes conection to send current one way throught the motor, pull it back and it sends current through the motor in reverse... thats it...
Toyota wanted 200 bucks for a mindow switch in my MR-2.. when i took the switch apart, it was almost identical to the guts of the junk T-bird i had on the back 40, i put the copper contacts from the t-bird switch in the mr-2 switch, put some di-electric grease on em and put the bitch back together... worked like a champ..
Also... 90% of the time a switch fails... its because the copper contact rockers get corroded... take the switch apart, clean the corosion off the rockers, put some di-electric grease on the contact surfaces and 99% of the time, it'll work like new!

YOU Know what??? Your very correct!! I forgot about that!! The 626 has a ford and mercury Twin Almost the same car. The Courier P/U was made by Mazda now the Mazda B series truck is a ford. Ford bought controlling interest in Mazda in the 90s
I wonder how many other parts are close or identicle.

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
Man you guys are clueless... the Ford Probe was built by MAZDA! in the same plant that built the 626 and MX-6.
The Probe is nothing more than a hatchback MX-6

I think Dodge really started the whole thing when they started importing the "challenger" into the states in the 80's. It was just a rebadged a mitshibishi galant "lambda".
Remeber the ford t-birds mercury cougars of the 80's??? OR Mustangs and Capris??
