Hey guys, as some of you may know, I bought a 87 rx-7 about a month ago, and SOMETHING was really wrong with it, but I had no clue. I asked u guys many questions, and you were all extremely helpful, and I know that I can come back here whenever I have a problem, so thanks for those of you who helped... now... the question u all want to know the answer to... what WAS wrong with my car... well, let me just give you this advice... the rx-7 works a LOT better when ALL FREAKING FOUR of the spark plugs have wires that AREN'T broken!!! Hee hee, the lower right spark plug wire had broken at the boot, and was just hanging (I didn't even notice till I had the other three plugs all the way out... But after I got new wires, and plugs, the car is running beautifully (even with 205,633 on the odometer) gotta love the n/a's :-) I'm gonna try to get this engine (original) to 250,000 and then get a new engine, and I'm shootin for the 300k mark :-D!!! thanks again!

I agree with J-Rat. Wish more people would post the fix. Even if it is something simple like a spark plug wire! Thanks kiker14!

 

no **** eh? all too often do people give out suggestions, then a thread dies with no answer.. you find out 6 months later that the guy fixed his problem and never posted about it..

 

Hey, thx guys, heh, I wasn't really trying to set any example, I was just proud of myself cause about a month ago I didn't even know that a rx-7 had a rotary engine, and now I'm startin to do like "car stuff" and it's pretty exciting for me! But thanks again, and don't worry, I'm sure that I'll have some other problems soon... but I'm determined to get this car to have the miles that is the equivilent of driving around the world 10 times! :-D
