Angry I finally found a TII, and guess what...

I was on autotrader last night and I found an 87 TII (Tito at Alamo Rotary was selling it) for $2400 and its not there now! This blows! I'm so sick of having an N/A that I could puke. Just a rant, but if anyone has a TII in the relevant area of Lampasas, Texas (76550) I might be interested.

Don't have $2400. Thats the problem. I was gonna either trade my car + $$$ for the TII, or sell my car and buy the TII.

Well, lets face it. Our cars have absolutely no aftermarket support (compared to the TII) because nobody gives them a second thought. I love it, but I wish companies like HKS, GReddy, A'PEXi, and Turbonetics could love it enough to build a few badass performance parts (i.e. bolt on turbo kits). I'm happy with its balance and its ability to carve turns with the best of today's sports cars, but its straight line performance makes me feel thirsty for more. 15 seconds in the 1/4 just doesn't excite me enough and I'm tired of not being able to beat these muscle headed muscle car drivers around here. Know what I mean?

You are destined to be n/a! j/k
I remember when i turned over to the darkside; boost is so great.
Including price of the car and mods, I've spent $4k to have a great looking 12sec car Keep looking its more than worth the wait and money.

Yes but the look on someones face when they see the needle bury 11k rpm and the sound of a ported N/A with straight exhuast is even better. Yeah turbos are way faster and the rotary and forced induction go hand in hand. But a high revving loud *** N/A motor with a modest amount of horsepower is much cooler in my opinion.

and you just can't argue with that. Ignore my "my turbo has 6 ports" thang... i'm tryin to run a na with some mad *** porting and exhaust.
And na's are generally cooler... no matter what

Yeah my cars hero (787B) wasn't turbo so niether will it. Plus you see tons of turbo RX7's with basically the same setup. They all sound the same and you'd just blend in with the crowd. But imagine the looks on peoples faces when they actually see a RX7 going "brap brap" and spitting fire. With that kinda setup it would take a healthy TII with at least a boost controller and full exhaust to beat it. And his *** would be shifting at 7k rpm instead of 11k.

Turbo motors can rev as high as any n/a motor. The factory 20b n/a pport's peak power is @ 9000rpms, don't know too many engines that goto 11k+. My half brideg'd fd motor goes to 10.5k rpms, but that has race bearings etc, thats also a boosted motor....

At least you guys don't have to worry about 1/2 as much **** as us turbo guys. IMO na will last forever, start almost everytime, a lot nicer on your gas bill. just be greatful you have an rx-7. some people out there dream of owning one.

Well, I was one of those people when I was FCless. I then got one and decided "Damn, I wish it were faster." I'm sure many TII owners started like that. And I'm sure FD owners started with TII's.

The problem with boost is you get greedy, you need more power everymonth. I figure around 20more rwhp does it for me each month, but every winter I try and add another 100rwhp potential...
