I feel like its my first day...

I made a post here about a year ago with an almost identicle question.

Are Turbo2's as reliable as n/a's? If not, why? What are the factors? Also, what are any other disadvantages of a turbo? Thanks guys.

N/As pretty much never have to worry about detonation trashing apex seals...

My t2 is my daily driver..just as long as you take car of it and mod the car properly than you really have nothing to worry about..If you want a car that has enough power to put a hurt on newer cars than this is the car for you..

N/A's generally last longer, but I've seen a few TII's top 130k on the original engine. There aren't really any disadvantages having a TII. You just have to be careful when modding, and just regular maintenance.

depends completely on how it was treated before. A hard-driven turbo won't last nearly as long as a hard-driven N/A.
Also, it's a lot easier to screw up when modding a turbo.

My turbo has lasted 103,000 miles itself...

(it needs rebuild/replacement).

I'm guessing as long as I don't do any damage to the motor myself, it'll last to 150K easy.
