I feel like an idiot help please

im new to rx7 and this site. i keep seeing things about an S4 S5 FD and who knows what else. what do these terms mean. anyone

S4 is the second generation (FC) rx7's from 86 to 88
S5 is the second gen (FC) rx7's from 89-91 (This one, series 5 have higher compression rotors than the series 4)
FD is the third gen rx7 and those ran from 93-02 (stopped in like 97 here in the states)

they only had the fd here in america till 95

and they made the fc till 92 but the 92 model wasnt available in america

if you read the faq and some of the stickies at the top of the forum it tells you what all this stuff means
